Moving Direct-Edit Faces

You can move and change the angle of direct-edit faces using the Robot. Moving faces can change the size and shape of the dependent body or feature.

Tip: To resize cylindrical, spherical, or conic features, use the Offset command.

Before you begin: You must have a body or feature already converted to direct-edit.
  1. Select the direct-edit face to move.
  2. From the Direct Edit toolbar, click Move .
    The Robot appears on the selected face.

  3. Drag the arrow and arc handles of the Robot to move the face.

  4. Click Offset and use the Robot to reshape a direct-edit feature.
