Before Starting the Installation
Before starting the installation using the global 3DEXPERIENCE platform installer, check that all the prerequisites, such as certificates, databases and database users, are available and have been prepared before installing each 3DEXPERIENCE platform service.

After the Installation
After the installation, perform the post-installation tasks and configuration tasks required for each 3DEXPERIENCE platform service you installed.

Limitations
- There is no hot fix for global 3DEXPERIENCE platform installers. You have to install hot fixes for individual services.
- Remote installation is not supported: each media is executed and installed on the current machine.
- Parallel installations are not supported: you need to wait for the end of the installation of a service to enter the parameters for the next service to install.
- There is no global uninstall solution provided: each directory of installation needs to be uninstalled separately.
- There is no means to automatically
check for the installation order of the services.
- There is no Software Management for the whole assembly media installation. Individual services will still have the Software Management shortcut for their own installation.
- The global 3DEXPERIENCE platform installer does not manage the migration of installed services from a previous level. The individual installer for each service manages the migration.
- When the installation is launched in silent mode, the global 3DEXPERIENCE platform installer will not generate the global
UserIntentions.xml
file.
