AutoCADInteg-GlobalConfig Object

The Administrator installs a sample Global Configuration Object based on the user requirements. For AutoCAD, the Global Configuration Object (GCO) is ACADNewArch with Revision Team. Refer to the X-CAD Design Management Administration Guide for a detailed description of each attribute and its significance.

Note: Attribute synchronization from CAD to ENOVIA or from ENOVIA to CAD is not supported for objects of type ACAD Insert. The mapping for this types should not be added to the attributes MCADInteg-CADToMxAttribMapping and MCADInteg-MxToCADAttribMapping in the GCO. Even if such mapping is added to the GCO, it will not be considered by Connector for AutoCAD.

All derived output cad types with name starting with "userfile_" mapped in the MCADInteg-BusTypeMapping attribute of the GCO will have the automatic and background selection disabled. These options are disabled because these derived outputs have to be generated explicitly by the user.

MCADInteg-CreateDerivedOutputObj

This attribute is not applicable and by default the connector creates a derived object and saves it as a separate object for the generated CAD file.

IEF-AssignCADModelNameFromPart

This attribute is used to display the Assign Parts column in the Checkin page. Set this attribute to TRUE to enable the display of Assign Parts column in the Checkin page.

This attribute should be set to FALSE for the Quick Checkin feature to function. When set to FALSE, the Checkin page does not open when you click ENOVIA > Quick Checkin > Active Model or All Open Models in AutoCAD.

IEF-CSEDerivedOutputOptions

Function: Specifies the options / parameters used for creating derived outputs (automatic) of format image_jpg, dxf, acis and stl and pdf.

Syntax:

<FitView>|<FitToPaperForlayout>

Possible values:

  • FitView: true, false
  • FitToPaperForlayout: true, false

<FitView> applies to image_jpg ,dxf , acis and stl format only.

<FitToPaperForlayout> applies to derived outputs of format "pdf" only.

Note: If no value is specified for <FitToPaperForlayout>, then it is treated as false by default.

Only when the value of <FitToPaperForlayout> is true then all the PDFs are generated with plot area as "Extend", plot type as "Fit to Paper", plot offset as "Center the plot" and will be generated only for Layout sheets and not for Model sheet.

In the generated files of "pdf" format, all layouts will be sequenced in ascending order on the basis of "Layout names" as per the English locale.

Please note that this is not controlled by any GCO attribute.

Syntax:

MCADInteg-IgnoreCadTypes Function: In AutoCADInteg-GlobalConfig Object, different CAD types (assembly and component) are mapped to the same ENOVIA type (ACAD Drawing). This attribute is for making a decision as to whether the CAD types should be ignored on the ENOVIA Type selection dialog during the Save operation or whether they should be honored.

To avoid this the MCADInteg-IgnoreCadTypes attribute is used.

TRUE - When this attribute is set to true, the CAD type is ignored on ENOVIA Type Selection. Therefore, when multiple objects with same / different CAD types are selected for ENOVIA Type Selection at the same time, then, on selection one object, all others will be available for Type Selection.

False - When this attribute is set to false, the CAD type is honored on ENOVIA Type Selection. Therefore, when multiple objects with same / different CAD types are selected for ENOVIA Type Selection at the same time, then, on selection one object, only those objects which have the same CAD type as the selected object can be selected for type selection. The other objects having different CAD type will remain grayed out until the selected object is not de-selected.

Note: Note the following points
  • If this attribute is set to TRUE, it is mandatory that the different CAD types be mapped to exactly the same ENOVIA types in the MCADInteg-BusTypeMapping.
  • This attribute is not installed in One-Click Deployment Experience environment.
