Exporting GS1 Response File

You can generate a GS1 response file using the associated POA data or imported GS1 artwork content file data, and export it. Rich text formatting such as bold, italic, underline, subscript, superscript, and strikethrough in the content is added in the exported GS1 file.

Before you begin: In the Artwork Assembly panel, do the following:
  • Open the required AI or PDF document.
  • Load a POA or import a GS1 artwork content file.
  • Associate the artwork elements to the content in the artwork file, as required.
  • Save the document.
  • Optional: Specify locale sequence values to skip during export.
    1. Select Edit > Preferences > 3DEXPERIENCE.
    2. In the left pane, click GS1 Import/Export.
    3. Enter the locale sequence values that you want to skip and click Ok.

You can enter multiple values separated by commas.

  1. In the Artwork Assembly panel, click Refresh to refresh the artwork elements to identify any content mismatches.
  2. Optional: Click Synchronize to synchronize the artwork elements and get the latest content.
You can select some artwork elements and synchronize them to update to the latest content before you export.
  3. Click Export GS1 Response File.
    • If any artwork element in the artwork file is not mapped, a message appears asking if you want to continue with the element unmapped. Click OK to continue with the export.
    • If any copy element mapped to a text area is marked to ignore text differences, a message appears asking if you want to continue as GS1 artwork response file will not contain information about the text differences. Click Yes to continue with the export.
  4. Select a location to save the exported file and click Save.
The GS1 response file is generated and saved to the selected location.

If you export from imported GS1 artwork content data, the locale sequence information is obtained from the GS1 artwork content file.
