Importing GS1 Artwork File Content

You can import the contents of a GS1 artwork file, view its POA details and artwork assembly definition, and manage the content without accessing any content from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Before you begin:
  • Connect to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
  • Define the GS1 import settings.
    1. Select Edit > Preferences > 3DEXPERIENCE.
    2. In the left pane, click GS1 Import/Export.
    3. Enter the required locale sequence settings for no translation and inline translation.
    4. Select an option for Disable alert messages on import of GS1 Content Files.

If you select No, a message appears when you import a valid GS1 file with additional or missing nodes.

If you select Yes, a message appears when you import an invalid GS1 file.

    5. Click Ok.
  1. In the Artwork Assembly panel, click Import GS1 Artwork Content File.
  2. Select the required GS1 artwork content XML file.
  3. Click Open.
If the selected GS1 artwork content file is valid, the contents are imported and displayed in the Artwork Assembly panel.
    Notes:
    • Copy elements and structured copy elements are imported as is.
    • Graphics elements are loaded without their images, as the images are not present in the GS1 artwork content file.
    • If an artwork file is open in Adobe Illustrator, it is linked to the imported POA.
