Creating a Regulation

You can create a regulation.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Leader, Owner
  • App-specific: Contracts Manager


Before you begin: Program and Contract Management must be the active app.

Creating Certification/Validation Projects
  1. To create a regulation, do one of the following:
    • Click Home .
    • In the navigation pane, click Type Cert Mgmt > Regulations.
    • From the page Actions menu or toolbar, click Create New .

    Or

    • From the top bar, click Add .
    • Click Type Cert Mmgt > Create Regulation.

    Or

    • Click Home .
    • In the navigation pane, click Product Lines > Products.
    • Select a product.
    • In the navigation pane, click Certification.
    • Click the Certification Basis tab.
    • From the page Actions menu or toolbar, click Create Regulation .

    Or

    • Click Home .
    • In the navigation pane, click Program Mgmt > Contracts > CIs.
    • Select a CI.
    • In the navigation pane, click Certification.
    • Click the Certification Basis tab.
    • From the page Actions menu or toolbar, click Create Regulation .
  2. Enter the details:

    Field NameDescription
    NameEnter a name for the regulation or select Autoname to automatically name the regulation.
    Type Regulation is the type.
    PolicyThe Regulation policy governs the lifecycle of the regulation.
    Description Enter a description of the regulation.
    RevisionEnter the revision number for the regulation.
    TitleEnter the title for the regulation.
    ContentEnter any rich text content related to the regulation.
    OwnerClick to select the user currently responsible for the regulation.
    AmendmentEnter any amendments to the regulation.
    Effective DateClick to select the date the regulation becomes effective.
    AgencySelect the agency connected to the regulation from the list: ASTM, EASA, or FAA.
    Regulation Site URLEnter the url for the regulation site.
    Responsible OrganizationClick to select the organization responsible for the regulation.
    Sponsoring CustomerClick to select the sponsoring customer.
    NotesEnter any notes related to the regulation.
  3. Click OK.
