Editing Configuration Item Properties

You can modify the details of the CI.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Leader, Owner
  • App-specific: Contracts Manager, Data Manager, Program Controls Specialist, Subcontract Administrator


Before you begin: Access the Properties page for the CI. For more information, see Configuration Items Properties Page.
  1. From the page Actions menu or toolbar, click Edit Details .
  2. Edit any of these details:
    Field NameDescription
    CI NumberEnter the number of the CI.
    CI NomenclatureEnter the name given to the CI.
    CI Nomenclature DescriptionEnter a detailed description of the CI Nomenclature.
    Configuration End ItemSelect Yes if the CI is a CEI or No if the CI is not a CEI.
    Estimated Recurring CostEnter the estimated costs expected to occur in the future.
    Estimated Non Recurring CostEnter the estimated costs not expected to occur in the future.
    SourceSelect one of the following from the list: Buy (CI bought by the contract), CFE (Customer Furnished Equipment), GFE (Government Furnished Equipment), GFP (Government Furnished Property), or Make (CI made from contract).
    Responsible OrganizationClick to search and select the organization currently responsible for the CI.
    DescriptionEnter a detailed description of the CI.
    NotesEnter any notes about the CI.
    OwnerClick to search and select the user currently responsible for the CI.
    Selection Type Select either Multiple or Single from the list.
  3. Click Done.
