Comparing and Updating CAD Objects

You can view all iterations from the current revision of a CAD object.

Before you begin: Open a project or schematic.
  1. Right-click an item in the schematic or project and select 3DEXPERIENCE > Compare & Update from 3DEXPERIENCE.
  2. To update an object and its entire hierarchy with the versions saved in 3DEXPERIENCE, right-click the object and select Update.
  3. To compare the current schematic object with the version stored in 3DEXPERIENCE, right-click the object and select Compare.

    You cannot compare objects from a project; use this command from within a schematic to make comparisons.

    The app displays the two versions side-by-side for comparison.

You can also use the context menu to lock or unlock a listed object.
