Checking Entities Using Quality Rules Reuse

You can check open entities as well as the integrity constraints on entities. You can also check that your package does not contain any redundancies and that the types you want to use exist.

Before you begin: You must have created a package containing at least one application and more than one component.

Adding a Component to an Application
  1. Click Add > Import > 3D XML.
    The Import 3D XML tab opens.
  2. Click ... to select the rule set you want to apply and click OK.

    The .3dxml file to import named ResourceSet_and_Ruleset-KBA_consistency_checking.3dxml is located in the following directory: PATH_INSTALL\DSosname\startup\knowledge.

    A message appears indicating that the .3DXML file was imported successfully.
    Note: Once the 3Dxml file is imported, it is stored in a Data Setup table and available each time you open a new session.
  3. In the Know-how Apps Creation, from the Manage Apps section, click Check Consistency .
  4. Select the entity you want to check and click OK.
    If errors are found, the Reports dialog box appears pointing the errors. If not, the Reports dialog box is not displayed.
  5. Click to display an XML report listing the errors and showing their explanations.
