Configuring the Help URL

You can add a property to point the system at the user assistance portal as an alternative to installing the help for web apps.

  1. Using MQL:

    If you previously created a page object for system properties, modify the emxSystem.properties page as described in Installation and Setup | Administrate | 3DEXPERIENCE platform | 3DSpace | Collaboration and Approvals | Configuring Properties.

    Otherwise, create a page object named emxSystem.properties.

    Important: The page object must have this exact name. If you name it anything else, the app will use the default property value as installed.

  2. Enter or edit this line to specify the location where the user assistance portal is installed for use for context-sensitive help for the web apps: 

    emxFramework.Help.URL=http://DOCSERVER/<VERSION>/en

    Where:

    • DOCSERVER is the location where the documentation has been installed.
    • <VERSION> is the version being installed, for example V6R2022x.
