Defining a Linear Multi-Instantiation in Context

You can define component duplication as many times as you wish in the direction of your choice.

Before you begin: Open an assembly.
  1. Select a component in the tree and click Linear Multi-Instantiation from the context toolbar.
  2. Click the arrow on the reference component to invert the direction of the multi-instantiation.
  3. Set the number of instance in the box: 3.
  4. Drag the arrow on the first instantiated component to define the spacing.

A ruler and the spacing value are displayed.

Tip: Click the value to edit the length more precisely.

  5. To define the direction select a line, an axis or an edge from any component in the 3D area.
  6. Optional: Click the blue dot to delete an instantiated component.

Important: This operation cannot be undone.

  7. Click anywhere in the 3D area to validate. The cursor looks like this .
Three additional components are created in the X direction.
