Updating the Relational Design Using the Update Assistant

You can update a Relational Design using the Update Assistant which provides progressive information during the process.

You can run the Update assistant while combining three types of options:

Hide/Show.
Update process with memory optimization and with display (through the Update Assistant dialog box).
Step-by-step update process with memory optimization and display (through the Update Assistant dialog box).

These options are detailed in the procedure below.

Before you begin: Open an existing assembly.

From the Tools section of the action bar, click Update Assistant . .
- The Update Assistant panel appears.
- In the work area, components that belong to the active product are colored according to their statuses.
Select an Up to date component in the 3D area.
The Selected Actor label appears. No action is suggested.
Select a Component is out of date component in the 3D area.
The Selected Actor label appears. The update action is suggested.
Click Update Assistant or close the panel to exit.
