Offline Mode

The Assembly Design app is compatible with Offline mode. It enables you to work for a limited period of time without connecting to the system.

For more information about Offline mode, see Social and Collaborative: Product Development - Model Based: Collaborative Lifecycle: Working Offline.

All Assembly Design commands are available in Offline mode, but the behavior of the following commands is modified.

PLM Update
  • When connected to the ENOVIA V6 server, PLM Update detects missing PLM components; the PLM Update Wizard dialog box appears and prompts you to open mandatory and optional PLM components.
  • When in Offline mode, the CATIA V6 Offline error dialog box appears (because there is no connection with the ENOVIA V6 server) and the Update Report dialog box displays relevant information. This information is identical to that shown if you do not open mandatory PLM components when connected to the ENOVIA V6 server.
Links & Relations
  • When connected to the ENOVIA V6 server, Links & Relations detects missing PLM components and prompts you to open missing PLM components.
  • When in Offline mode, the Open command is not available.
