Editing Assembly Features

You can edit assembly features


Before you begin: Open an existing assembly containing assembly features.

About Assembly Features
  1. From the Assembly section of the action bar, click Assembly Feature .
    The Assembly Features dialog box appears.
  2. From the tree, a 3D shape feature appears (Hole, Protected Feature, Cut or Add) in the typed-specification representation
    The Assembly Feature Definition dialog box is filled with the affected 3D shapes:
    • Click the feature icon in the Assembly Features dialog box to edit the feature properties.
    • Click Select All Reps to select all the 3D shapes from the effected list.
    • Click Remove selected Shapes to remove a selection of 3D shape from the effected list.
    • Select a 3D shape from the tree or the geometry window to add it in the effected list.
    • Click Edit Distributions Rules... to define the effected elements in the 3D shapes: Part Body or Solid Bodies.
  3. Click OK in the Assembly Features dialog box.
  4. From the standard area of the action bar, click Update .
