About Navigation Tab

The Links & Relations command is available in navigation tabs where the Navigation Experience is active only, it is not available in Product Finder Classic navigation experience for example.

Relations are displayed in the dialog box if the pointing component is opened for authoring in the navigation tab.

The automatic reconnection is possible onto components that are at least opened for navigation. If they are not opened, its nodes are collapsed, they are not accounted for by the reconnection algorithm.

If the component pointed by a relation is Opened for Navigation Only, its status remains Not open; then it is not possible to switch it to another minor revision in session because there is no way to detect that there is another minor revision in session, or to synchronize it.

Important: The cross-selection is not available for components which are Opened for Navigation; it works for components opened for authoring only. When automatically or manually reconnecting a context, the occurrences of the context which are opened for navigation only are not accounted for. The Assistant displays the occurrences opened for authoring only. When manually reconnecting a relation, it is not possible to select a component which is Opened for Navigation Only.
