Engineering Connection Context Toolbars

Engineering connections context toolbars are smart toolbars that contain only those tools that can be applied to the current selection.

The tables below list the most commonly used commands available.

See Editing Constraints in Engineering Connections from the 3D area.

This page discusses:

Engineering Connection Edition

Edit constraints

Edits the engineering connection constraints.

Activate/Deactivate

Activates or deactivates the engineering connection.

Automatically Position Components

The app defines which component is positioned during the PLM Update.

Position First Component [instance_name]

The first selected component is positioned during the PLM Update.

Position Second Component [instance_name]

The second selected component is positioned during the PLM Update.

Delete

Deletes the engineering connection.

Constraint Mode

Driving

The constraint definition is applied during the PLM Update.

Measure

The constraint value is deducted from its definition and other constraints of the engineering connection during the PLM Update.

Controlled

Defines the constraint controlled by the user in the kinematics relation. The constraint value is defined between bounds.

Constraint Deletion

Delete

Deletes the constraint.

First Constraint Option

Offset Plane-Plane

Undefined

The planes position is undefined and can be modified during the PLM Update.

Above

The second plane is positioned above the first plane.

Below

The second plane is positioned below the first plane.

Offset Plane-Line or Plane-Point

Undefined

The line and/or plane orientations are undefined and can be modified during the PLM Update.

Same

The line and/or plane orientations are the same.

Opposite

The line and/or plane orientations are opposite.

Offset Line-Line
