Customizing Standards Files For Design Tables

You can access company standards files to access and define design tables.

  1. From the Model section of the action bar, click Sheetmetal Parameters .
  2. Click Sheet Standards Files.
  3. In the From Search tab, enter the name of the Sheet Metal table you are looking for and click Search.
  4. Click OK.
In the Sheetmetal Parameters Definition dialog box, the Design Table appears opposite to the Thickness and Default Bend Radius boxes.

The parameters are disabled, indicating that you can no longer modify the values.

  5. Click Thickness Design Table and select the line containing the appropriate parameters.
  6. Click OK.
The parameter values are updated in the Sheetmetal Parameters dialog box.
  7. Click Bend Radius Design Table .
  8. Select a line and click OK.
The parameter values are updated in the Sheetmetal Parameters Definition dialog box.
  9. Create a flange. The Surfacic Flange Definition dialog box reflects the modification for the Radius.
The default mode, that is to say the formula: Bend Radius = Part Radius is deactivated. At that time, the parameters Thickness and Bend radius are driven by the design table. They are disabled, indicating that you can no longer modify the values. Note that if you create a bend, there is no design table: it's the formula which is used.
Tip: To disable the access to design tables:
    1. Select Me > Preferences > Infrastructure > 3D Shape Infrastructure > Display tab and select Relations.

The Design Table is displayed in the tree.

    2. Right-click the Design Table icon. The context menu appears.
    3. Select Sheetmetal Thickness Table object > Deactivate.

The relation is no longer used but still exists. It can be activated at any time.
