Integration with Drafting

You can generate an unfolded view of a Sheet Metal for Hydro-formed Parts 3D shape with two flanges, a bead and a flanged hole in a drawing sheet.

Before you begin: Create a Sheet Metal 3D shape and open the Drafting app. For more information about this app, see the Drafting User's Guide.
  1. Select Add > Drawing.
    The drawing sheet appears.
  2. Tile the windows horizontally.
  3. From the secondary area of the View Layout section of the action bar, click Unfolded View .
  4. Choose a plane in the tree.
    A preview of the view is displayed in the drawing.
  5. Click in the drawing to validate the view creation. The unfolded view is displayed with the planar axes. The characteristic curves (BTL of base feature, BTL of support, IML, OML and second OML) are generated in the drawing.
    Warning: Bend tangency lines and axis are not generated for curved bends: they are only generated for straight bends.
