Creating a Plane Through Two Lines

You can create a plane passing through two points.

Before you begin: You must create or include a 3D Shape containing geometry.
  1. From the Model section of the action bar, click Plane .
  2. Select Through two lines.
  3. Select two lines.
The plane is defined by the direction vectors of the lines and will be created on the line selected first.

In case of non-coplanar lines, the direction vector of the second line is projected onto the first line.

  4. Click OK to create the plane.
The plane (identified as Plane.xxx) is added to the tree.

Note: If Forbid non coplanar lines is selected, only coplanar lines are allowed for selection.
