Managing Design Tables

You can manage design tables.

This task shows you how to:

Import Standard Tables

You can import standard tables.

Before you begin: To access this command, you must work in administrator mode.
  1. From the Model section of the action bar, click Standard tables initialization .
  2. From the Conversion mode list, click From file data
  3. To import the main table, click Browse .
  4. Select the main standard table and click Simulate.
  5. When all indicators are green, click Close.
    If a file is missing, a message appears in the vault. In this case, you need to specify the correct path.
  6. Click Import.
    The standard tables are imported in the vault. You can now make some queries to retrieve the appropriate data. The paths are replaced by identification attributes.

Modify the Content of a Standard Table

You can modify the content of a standard table.

Modify a Sub-Table

You can modify a sub-table.

  1. Create a version of the sub table.
  2. Click Design table to edit this new version and modify parameters.
  3. To edit the main table to match the cell content with the newly created version of the sub table, replace " majorrevision=---" by " majorrevision=--A".
  4. Save the main table.

Add a Line in the Table

You can add a line in the table with the path to the concerned sub-table.

  1. Edit the main table by adding a new line.
  2. In this new line, insert the absolute path to a new sub table.
  3. Save the document and close it.
  4. Click Standard tables initialization .
  5. Click Browse .
  6. Select the main table.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Simulate.
    Note: The standard sub tables that do not require any update are ignored.

Create a Version of a Table

You can create a version of a table.

  1. Select Content Access > Advanced Search.
  2. In the Search Criteria dialog box, enter the search parameters.
  3. Click OK.
    The result of the search appears.
  4. Select the table to duplicate.
  5. Click New version .
  6. Click to access the calendar and choose the Applicability Date.
  7. Click OK.
    A new version (--A) of your table is created.
