Creating Stiffening Ribs

You can create stiffening ribs by specifying the punch geometrical parameters.

Before you begin: Create a web with a flange on it.
  1. From the Refine section of the action bar, click Stiffening Rib .
  2. To position the stiffener, select the external surface of the flange.

    The stiffener is always centered on the bend radius whenever the point is along the curve.

  3. Define the following parameters:

    Punch radius Inner bend radius
    Angle Draft angle
  4. To visualize the stiffening rib, click Preview.


  5. Optional: To create the stiffening rib without a fillet, clear Use fillet.
