Adding Artwork Elements

You can add copy and graphic elements to a product line. You can also add graphics created with Asset policy in Brand Assets Management, if they are in the Release state.

  • Baseline: Author, Leader
  • App-specific: Product Manager, Master Copy Author

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin:
  • Ensure that you are in the Artwork Elements tab of a product line. For more information, see Artwork Elements.
  • Ensure that one or more artwork elements are available in other product lines, or there must be some elements created globally.

Add Master Copy Elements

You can add master copy elements to a product line.

  1. Select the Product Line check box.
  2. In the tab toolbar, select Actions > Add Existing Copy Element.
    The Search page appears. It lists the master copy elements.
  3. Select one or more check boxes of the master copy elements and click Submit.

The master copy elements are added to the selected product line.

Note: The Place Of Origin column displays Multiple for the added copy element. To view the where used details of a copy element, you can right-click the Marketing Name of the copy element and select Place Of Origin.

Add Master Graphic Elements

You can add master graphic elements to a product line.

  1. Select the Product Line check box.
  2. In the tab toolbar, select Actions > Add Existing Graphic.
    The Search page appears. It lists the master graphic elements.
    Note: You can select graphic elements based on the following conditions:
    • If you select the graphic elements that are not in the Preliminary or Release state, an error message is displayed and the corresponding element is not added.
    • If you select the graphic elements with policies not associated with the app, and click Submit, all the selected graphic elements are listed on a page. The page has the following columns:
      Column Description
      Title Title of the graphic element.
      Image Image associated to the graphic element.
      Description Description of the graphic element.
      Type Type is Graphic.
      Name Name of the graphic element.
      State State is Exists.
      Graphic Element Type Select a graphic element type.
      Important:
      • If element is already associated to a graphic element type, name of the graphic element type is displayed.
      • If all the elements are already associated to a graphic element type, the page does not appear, and the graphic elements are added directly.
  3. Select one or more check boxes of the master graphic elements and click Submit.

The master graphic elements are added to the selected product line.

Note: The Place Of Origin column displays Multiple for the added graphic element. To view the where used details of a graphic element, you can right-click the Marketing Name of the graphic element and select Place Of Origin.
