Revising an Artwork File

You can revise an artwork file associated with a POA that is in the Release state. You can revise an artwork file revise to modify and eliminate errors, if any, from the final artwork file.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Author, Leader
  • App-specific: Product Manager, Artwork Project Manager, Graphic Designer


Before you begin:
  • View the Files tab of the POA PowerView page. For more information, see Files Associated with a POA.
  • Ensure that the current revision of the required artwork file is in the Release state.
  • Graphic Designers can revise only the artwork files assigned to them.
  1. In the Files tab, click the Name of an artwork file.
    The Artwork File properties page appears. It shows the following fields.
    Field Name Description
    Name The name for the artwork file, usually an automatically generated name.
    Revision The artwork file's revision level.
    Type The object type.
    Title The title for the artwork file.
    Description The description of the artwork file.
    State The current lifecycle state of the artwork file.
    Owner The person responsible for the artwork file.
    Originated The date the artwork file was created.
    Policy The policy that governs the artwork file's lifecycle.
    Locked Displays TRUE if the artwork file is locked. Displays FALSE if the artwork file is not locked.
    Locked By Shows the name of the user that has locked the artwork file.
  2. Perform one of the following actions.
    • In the page toolbar, select Actions > Revise.
    • In the navigation pane, select the Revisions tab, and click Revise in the page toolbar.

A new revision of the artwork file is created and associated with the POA. Earlier revision of the artwork file is removed. The new revision of artwork file is in the Preliminary state. A Product Manager or an Artwork Project Manager can promote the artwork file to the Review state. When it is promoted to the Review state, an approval task is created for the artwork approver.
