Artwork Element Page of a Local Copy Authoring Task

The local copy elements to be authored in a local copy authoring task appear on the Artwork Element page of local copy author. If a copy element is associated with multiple artwork packages, the difference between the copy texts of current and previous revisions is shown in the Copy Text Difference column.

  • Baseline: Author
  • App-specific: Local Copy Author

To access this page:

  • From the Compass, click Copy and Artwork Management.
  • In the navigation pane, click Local Copy Approval.
Note: You can also use either of the following steps to access this page:
  • In the top bar, select > Messages, open the notification email, and click the Artwork Inbox Task link.
  • From the Compass, click Copy and Artwork Management. In the top bar, select > Copy and Artwork > Artwork Package. In the My Artwork Packages page, click the Name of an active artwork package.

Columns

Column Name Description
Element Type Type of copy element associated with the local copy authoring task.
Display Name Display name of the copy element associated with the local copy authoring task.
Place Of Origin Place of origin of the copy element associated with the local copy authoring task.
Note: If an existing artwork element is added to the product line, the Place Of Origin column displays Multiple for the added artwork element. To view the where used details of an artwork element, you can right-click the Display Name of the artwork element and select Place Of Origin.
: Indicates whether the countries in which the copy element must be available for use are defined or not. If the country assigned to copy element is not a part of POA, the copy element is not displayed.
Note: Pause on to view the countries defined.

: Indicates whether the inline translation of the copy element in local languages is activated. If the Translate option is set to no, there is no local language available, only preferred language is available.

Master Copy The following sub columns are described in this column:
  • Language: Language of master copy element.
  • Content: The approved copy text of the master copy element with which the local copy is associated.
  • State: The state of the master copy element with which the local copy is associated.
Copy Text Difference Indicates whether there are any differences in the copy text of two revisions of a master copy element associated with more than one artwork package. Character level differences are available between two revisions of a copy text. If there are any differences in the copy text of the revisions of master copy element, appears in the Copy Text Difference column. Pause over to view the tooltip with the differences in the copy text of two revisions.
Tip: In the tooltip,
  • the text highlighted in green in the Current area, indicates that the text is added to the copy text of new revision and is not available in the copy text of previous revision.
  • the text highlighted in red in the Previous Revision area, indicates that the text is removed from the copy text of previous revision and is not available in the copy text of new revision.
Local Copy The following sub columns are described in this column:
  • Language: Language of local copy element.
  • Last Approved: The last approved local copy.
  • Content: Content of local copy element. Click to edit.
  • Actions: Indicates the tasks that you can perform using the options available.
    • i: Details of the task assigned to the local copy author.
    • Copy Text Difference: Indicates whether there are any differences in the copy text of two revisions of a local copy element associated with more than one artwork package. Character level differences are available between two revisions of a copy text. If there are any differences in the copy text of the revisions of local copy element, appears in the Copy Text Difference column. Pause on to view the tooltip with the differences in the copy text of two revisions.

Artwork Packages Artwork packages associated to copy element.
Comprised POAs The POAs that contain the artwork element and are connected to a customization POA. This column appears only is the artwork package contains at least one customization POA.
