Using the Building Inspector to Show or Hide Structure

You can show or hide various structural elements within a building project.


Before you begin: Ensure that you have a building project with structural elements.

Context: The Building Inspector is a series of toggles that you can click to show or hide in the 3D area specific structural elements.

Tip: You can show more than one type of structural element at a time.

  1. From the Foundation section of the action bar, click Building Inspector .
    The system displays the toggles that show or hide specific building structural elements.
  2. To show the slab view of the project, click Slabs .
  3. To show the grid segments from a structural grid, click Grid Segments .
  4. To show the structural members, click Structural Members .
  5. To show the neutral axis of catalog members or cast members, click Analytical Representation .
  6. To show the interior walls, click Interior Walls .
  7. To show the exterior walls, click Exterior Walls .
  8. To show the footings, click Footing Members .
  9. To show structural components that are no longer connected to the structural grid, click Orphan Members .
