Work Area

The work areais the main area where you work with formulas in Formulation Design. It occupies the central part of the Formulation Designuser interface, to the right of the left pane.

The work areadisplays one of the following pages, depending on the task you are performing:

  • The Formulation Designhome page, if no formula is open or when you click Home
  • The formula grid when a single formula is open
  • A multiformula edit grid after you select Compare Formulas in the left panel

Home Page

When the home page is open, the work areacontains tiles for formulas that you have recently viewed or edited.

Each tile contains the following information:

  • The formula name
  • The formula's owner
  • The date and time that the formula was last saved
  • The state of the formula: either Draft or Reviewed

You can view tiles in a tile layout or a list layout. To change the layout, click the Layout tool in the upper right corner, and select Tile Layout or List Layout .

Formula Grid

When a formula is open, the work areacontains a formula grid. In the formula grid, you can view and, if you have appropriate permissions, edit the formula.

Formula Comparison Grid

After you select multiple formulas for comparison in the left panel, the work areacontains a formula comparison grid, where you can compare and edit formulas side-by-side. See "Working with Multiple Formulas."
