From the
Apps and Commands section of the
action bar,
click
Create App in Apps List
.

In the
Custom App Definition dialog box, select
New Custom App or
Extend Standard App.

If you selected
New Custom App, do the following:
-
enter the identifier in the
Identifier field.
Note:
This is the
app
identifier. It must be unique.

In the
Title field, enter the name of the
app.

Select the context from the
Context list.
-
From the
Quadrant list, select the quadrant of the
compass that will contain your
app.

Click
Select to associate an icon to your
app.
Note:
If you selected
New Custom App and a field is not filled in,
the
app
is disabled.

If you selected
Extend Standard App, do the following:
-
Select the
app
that you want to extend from the list.

Check
Disabled App to deactivate the
app.
Note:
When this option is selected, the
app
is not visible and cannot be used by the end-user.

Check
Hide default section to create an
app
containing only the user defined sections and no default one (usually
containing the types and process supervision command).
Note:
By default, custom
apps
are added to one of the sections of the
action bar.
When this option is checked, the
app
is not displayed in the
action bar.

Click
Install for test to quickly deploy the
app
for test purposes.
Note:
This command installs the entire component.

Click
Apply and
Toggle exposition. The
app
is deployed.
