Filtering a Catalog Using Keywords

You can create a sequence enabling you to instantiate a component from a catalog.

  1. Click the type you have created and click Sequence Combination to create a combination of operations.
  2. Click Catalog .
  3. Double-click the catalog operation in the tree.
    1. Click ... in the Catalog / Chapter area. The resource table opens.
    2. Select a catalog from the list or create an entry. Click OK to validate. Back in the PLM Dialog Box, the keywords (if any) are displayed in the Available keywords in the current catalog area. You can define a filter to refine the list of items you want to propose to the end user. The filter is computed only in the runtime environment. You can choose several times the same keyword, each user keyword is suffixed by "#" and an index, for example Length#1 or Length#2. Once the keywords are chosen, valuate them by linking them to parameters of another operation. If you select many keywords, choose the logical operator ("AND" or "OR") which associates them. For each keyword, you can specify a comparison operator ("==", "<>", "<", "<=", ">" and ">=" for numerical values or "like" and "notlike" for strings). These operators cannot be linked and can only be seen in the operation panel.
    3. Click OK to validate.
  4. Click Bind Object .
  5. Double-click the Bind a PLMComponent.1 operation in the tree and enter ExtObj in the Relative Name field. Click OK to validate.
  6. Click Manage Components Operation .
  7. Double-click the ManagePLMComponents.1 operation in the tree. The ManagePLMComponents.1 tab opens.
    1. Check Existing component.
    2. Click the Unset field and click the output link of the PLMCatalog.1 operation in the tree.
    3. Click the Destination field in the Instantiation context area and click the output link of the Bind a PLMComponent.1 operation in the tree. Click OK to validate.
