Editing and Deleting End Cuts

You can modify and delete previously placed end cuts.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin: Open a structure that contains end cuts placed in it.

Modify End Cuts

You can edit previously defined end cuts.

  1. From the Detail section of the action bar, click EndCut .
    The End Cut panel appears.
  2. Select the stiffeners that have the end cuts you want to modify.
    The extremities and end cuts of the selected stiffeners are listed in the respective columns.
  3. Select the rows to modify end cuts and click Define/Edit EndCut .
    The Define Feature and Parameters dialog box appears.
  4. Follow the steps 4 to 5 as explained in the Creating End Cuts.
    The end cuts are modified.

Tip: To edit an endcut, you can also select the endcut in the work area and click Endcut on the context toolbar.
Important:
  • If the Linked to reference check box is selected during end cut creation, the check box is available for edition. However, the parameters cannot be edited.
  • If the Linked to reference check box is cleared during end cut creation, the check box is unavailable for edition. You can edit the public parameters of the end cut.
  • If you clear the Linked to reference check box for the selected end cuts, it becomes unavailable for further edition. Once the link between the instantiated end cut and the end cut reference is removed, it is not possible to link them back together.

Delete End Cuts

You can delete the previously defined end cuts.

  1. From the Detail section of the action bar, click EndCut .
    The End Cut panel appears.
  2. Select the stiffeners that have the end cuts you want to delete.
    The extremities and end cuts of the selected stiffeners are listed in the respective columns.
  3. Select the rows to delete end cuts and click Delete EndCut .
    The selected end cuts are deleted.
