Edit and Delete Mate

You can edit or delete the existing mates.

This task shows you how to:

Edit Mate

You can edit mates to flip the mate alignment, change the mate selections and options, and change the mate type. Depending on the mate type, you can edit other options, such as the value and direction for distance and angle mates.

  1. In the Design Manager tree, under Mate, click the mate to edit and select Edit Feature from the context toolbar.
    Mate selections are highlighted in the 3D area.
  2. In the dialog box, make changes such as the following:
    1. Optional: To flip the mate alignment, click Flip .
    2. To mate to different geometry:

      1. Remove items from the mate:
        • In Select geometry, click beside an item to remove it.
        • To remove all items at once, click beside Select geometry.
      2. In the 3D area, select other geometries to replace the removed ones.

    3. To change the mate type, select a new mate type.
  3. Click .
    Note: Renaming Mate: You can rename the mate by, a slow double-click on the name of the created mate, in the Design Manager tree.

Delete Mate

You can delete unwanted mates.

In the Design Manager tree, under Mate, right-click the mate that you want to delete and click Delete from the context toolbar.
The mate is deleted.
