About Make Component

When you need to make the component from a body, you may choose from make a component as feature or as linked body. You can use the Make Component feature from the Assembly section of the action bar.

Make Component as Feature moves the features of a body to the component. The make component moves the features of any particular body to create a new component. You can use make component only on a body.

Make Component as Linked body creates a new component from the linked features. Any change in the features is seen in the linked component.

Note: Any features, which are added before the make component as linked body are updated in the component.
