Types of Sketch Constraints

There are many types of sketch constraints.

Valid constraint types appear on the context toolbar when you select sketch entities to constrain. To apply a constraint, click it on the context toolbar.

The On Edge constraint is added when you use the Convert Entities command to create entities from external items such as model edges or entities in another sketch.

Pierce

Create two sketches on perpendicular planes. Select the end point of the line in one sketch and an entity in the other sketch. From the context toolbar, select Pierce.
Symmetry





Do one of the following:
  • Select a centerline and the entities to make symmetric about that centerline.
  • From the action bar, click Mirror Sketch Object and select a centerline and the entities to make symmetric.
