Panels

You can dock panels to the left and right sides of your app. In addition, you can hide the docked panels from displaying in the work area.

This task shows you how to:

Undocking and Docking Panels

You can undock panels by dragging the panel to the work area.

  1. Drag the panel title bar from the docking bar to the work area.
  2. Drag the panel title bar to the side of the work area in the app, to dock the panel to that side.

Hiding a Docked Panel

You can hide docked panels from displaying in the work area.

To hide a panel, click on the top of the docked panel.
The panel collapses into the side of the app where the panel was docked.

Tip: Use the panel arrows ( or ) to open and close the docked panel.

Pinning a Hidden Panel

You can keep the docked panel open so you can always view or access commands in the docked panel.

  1. If hidden, click to display the panel.
  2. Click on the top of the opened panel.
    The docked panel remains open even when using other function in the app.
