Creating Corners

You can create corners.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin: Create a 3D shape containing two curves.

Create a Corner on a Support

You can create a rounded corner between two curves on a defined support.

From the Wireframe section of the action bar, click Corner .
A panel appears.
In the list, select Corner on support .
In the work area, select a curve as the first reference element.
The name of the selected geometry appears in the Element 1 box.
Select a second curve.
The name of the selected geometry appears in the Element 2 box.
Optional: Select a surface or a plane to modify the default support.
In the Radius box, specify a value.
In the 3D area, a preview of the corner appears.
Tip: If there are several possible designs, click Next solution to display and select another design.
Validate .
On the defined support, a corner is created between the two selected elements.

Tips:

Click Trim element to trim and assemble the two reference elements to the corner.
Select Corner on vertex to create a corner on a vertex. To do so, you can either select a point or a curve as reference.

You can create a 3D corner between two curves.

From the Wireframe section of the action bar, click Corner .

In the list, select 3D Corner .
In the work area, select a curve as the first reference element.
The name of the selected geometry appears in the Element 1 box.
Select a second curve.
The name of the selected curve appears in the Element 2 box.
Optional: Modify the default direction.
In the Radius box, specify a value.
In the 3D area, a preview of the corner appears.
Tip: If there are several possible designs, click Next solution to display and select another design.
Validate .
According to the defined direction, a corner is created between the two selected elements.

Tips:

Click Trim element to trim and assemble the two reference elements to the corner.
Select Corner on vertex to create a corner on a vertex. To do so, you can either select a point or a curve as reference.
