Creating a Table Template

You can create table templates that can be later instantiated (reused).

  1. Create a table with or without using a reference.
  2. In the Link Template dialog box, enter the name of the template.
  3. In the Cell box, enter a name for the cell.
  4. Under Type, perform the following actions:
    1. From the Package list, select a package.
    2. To make a package favorite, click next to the package.
    3. Select a type from the Name list.
  5. Under Attributes, select an attribute.
  6. Select a display type from the Placeholder display list.
  7. To add attributes of different types in the same cell, double-click the table cell, and follow the steps from 2 through 6, to insert the link template.
  8. Select another table cell, and follow the steps from 2 through 6 to insert the link template.

Note: Once you create the template, all the commands in the Template section of the action bar become unavailable.
