Allocating an Area for a Lattice Only Feature

Lattice Area allocates an area to generate lattices without the part. The Lattice Only check box is available in the Lattice.x dialog box at the time of lattice struts creation.

  1. Click Multiple Extract to create a multiple extract feature by selecting all the faces of the existing part along with the faces of closed areas (if present).

    Important: For every selected face, select Point propagation in the Propagation type list.

  2. Click Lattice Area .
  3. In the Lattice Area.x dialog box, select the required cell type in the Cell type list.
  4. In the Length and Radius boxes, specify the required values.
  5. Under Area selection, select area type as Close.

    Important: The lattice only feature can only be created for the close lattice areas.

  6. In the Area box, select the multiple extract feature.
