Creating a New Cell Standard from an Existing Cell Standard

You can create a customized cell standard from an existing cell standard file.

Before you begin: You must have Administrator rights to access and modify lattice cell standards.
  1. Select Me > Preferences > Standards.
  2. In the Category list, select LatticeDesign.
  3. In the File list, select a Lattice cell type.xml.
The selected cell is loaded in the left-hand side of the Standards dialog box.
  4. Click the lattice cell node.
    The cell image is displayed.
  5. Select the Units node and in the Units box, specify the new unit.

By default, the unit is mm.

  6. Select the Values node and specify the following values:
    1. Under Parameters, specify the required values in the Length and Radius boxes.
    2. Under Own Axis, specify the coordinates for the four vectors.

The vectors must be consistent in all direction to achieve the proper replication of the cells in all directions. To achieve this, each vector must be connected to the centers of all its neighboring cells.

  7. Click Save as New to create a new lattice cell standard from the selected lattice cell standard.
A new LatticeCell_Custome.xml file is created.
