Working with Enterprise IP Schema Specialization

To fit to customer needs, specializations are usually required. Systems Structure Design supports data model specialization.

Notes:
  • Your 3DEXPERIENCE Platform platform must be on a private cloud or on a dedicated cloud. Enterprise IP Schema Specialization is not available on premises nor on public clouds.
  • Your Administrator must grant you the Enterprise IP Specialization Manager role (DBS).

If you have the corresponding administrative role, you can use the Enterprise IP Schema Specialization app to define subtypes and specialization extensions. For more information, see Installation and Setup: Customize: 3DEXPERIENCE Platform: 3DSpace Data Model: Enterprise IP Schema Specialization: Managing Types: Creating a Sub Type.

Enterprise IP Schema Specialization lets you create subtypes of function or logical components.

You can create subtypes for the following elements:

Package Name Can be Specialized Extensible with Attribute Groups Extensible with Extensions
RFLPLMFlow RFLPLMFlowReference Yes Yes Yes
RFLPLMFunctional RFLPLMFunctionalReference Yes Yes Yes
RFLPLMFunctionalMission RFLPLMFunctionalMissionReference Yes Yes Yes
RFLPLMFunctionalService RFLPLMFunctionalServiceReference Yes Yes Yes
RFLVPMLogical RFLVPMLogicalReference Yes Yes Yes
RFLVPMLogicalSystem RFLVPMLogicalSystemReference Yes Yes Yes
RFLVPMSystemType RFLVPMSystemTypeReference Yes Yes Yes
RFLPLMFlow RFLPLMFlowInstance Yes Yes Yes
RFLPLMFunctional RFLPLMFunctionalInstance Yes Yes Yes

RFLPLMFunctional RFLPLMFunctionalConnection No Yes Yes
RFLVPMLogical RFLVPMLogicalConnection No Yes Yes
RFLPLMImplementConnection RFLPLMImplementConnection No Yes Yes
Note:
  • Yes in the Can be Specialized column means that you can create a new type by deriving the type.
  • Yes in the Extensible with Attributes Groups column means that you can add the type to any attributes group's scope.
  • Yes in the Extensible with Extensions column means that you can add the type to any extension's scope.
