Allocation Rules
The creation or the edition of an allocation connection is based on the following rules:
- A system element (logical component, logical interface, and logical port) can be allocated to only one 3D element (component volume, pathway connection point).
- A system port or interface can be allocated to a 3D port only if its parent system component is already allocated to the 3D component containing the pathway connection point.
- If you remove an allocation between a system component and a 3D component, all allocations between the system interface belonging to that system component are also removed.
- The allocation connection can be aggregated only inside the product reference containing the 3D component (directly or indirectly).
