Applying Connector Translations

You can use a connector translation to apply a displacement of one endpoint of a connector relative to the other. The displacement is in the local directions associated with the available components of relative motion of the connector.

Before you begin: You must have defined a connector.
  1. Select the supports in the model.

A connector translation can be applied to a connector with available components of relative motion.

  2. Select the fields to define a translation in the X-, Y-, or Z-direction.
  3. Enter the magnitude component in the Translation X, Translation Y, and Translation Z fields to apply the translation to the available components of relative motion U1, U2, and U3, respectively.
  4. Click OK.
