Defining Materials

You can query and select the required materials directly from the database, the catalog, or the library. They are stored in the Composites Parameters dialog box, as material cache features with a list of knowledgeware parameters corresponding to the material properties.

Before you begin: Open the shape.
  1. From the Material section of the action bar, click Material Parameters .
  2. In the Materials tab, click Add Material .
  3. Select a material with the Content Chooser or from a catalog or a library.

  4. To manage exiting materials, select a material and use one of the following commands:
    1. To modify the material ID, click Row Edition , and in the Material dialog box, enter a new value in the ID box.
    2. To reorder the list of material, click Move Row Up and Move Row Down .
    3. To remove a material from the list, select it and click Remove Row .
    4. To make a material ID point to another material, or to fix a broken link, select one or several materials in the list, and click Reroute Material Link .

      Note: The name of the material also appears in the Material dialog box but you cannot modify.

    Note: These commands are also available in the context menu of the orientation.
