As you work in a scenario app, any new features you create are added to the active analysis case. Features cannot be shared between different analysis cases. However, you can duplicate analysis cases to make a copy that you can modify rather than recreating features in a new analysis case. Note:
You cannot duplicate coupled analysis cases, such as a thermal
analysis case and structural analysis case in a thermal-structural simulation.
The active analysis case is shown in the context selector in the work area, as in this example from a structural simulation: ![]() You can delete analysis cases from the tree by using the context (right-click) menu. If you export a structural simulation to an Abaqus input (.inp) file, each analysis case is saved in a separate file; for example, MyScenario_StructuralAnalysisCase.1.inp MyScenario_StructuralAnalysisCase.2.inp You must associate a finite element model with each analysis case. When you create an analysis case, you can also include model change data with restart data to continue an analysis. This option is not available for analysis cases that contain an explicit dynamics step. When you choose Simulate
