Trackpad Functions

You can use a trackpad to manipulate the view and position of your product in the work area.

Note: Several of the following actions are also available in the View section of the action bar.
Action Description Windows Trackpad Macintosh Trackpad
Select Selects objects or models in your work area. Tap an object with one finger. Tap an object with one finger.
Box Select Selects all objects included in a box selection using a swipe. Tap and hold outside an object with one finger and drag to select objects. Tap and hold outside an object with one finger and drag to select objects.
Note: You can go to the Trackpad System Preferences, and enable optional Trackpad behaviors. You can also turn on a secondary click using a two-finger tap.
Context Menu Provides a shortcut to common commands using the mouse. Tap and hold on an object with one finger and release. Tap and hold on an object with one finger and release.
Pan Moves the model across the work area. Press and hold the Ctrl key, press and hold the right touchpad button, and drag another finger on the trackpad. Press and hold the Cmd or Ctrl key, tap and drag two fingers on the trackpad without pressing down.
Screen Rotate Spins the model parallel to the screen plane.

Press and hold the Alt key, press and hold the right touchpad button, drag another finger on the trackpad to spin.

Press and hold the Option key, and drag two fingers on the trackpad without pressing down.
Tumble Rotate Turns the model in all directions (no fixed axis). Press and hold the right touchpad button, drag another finger on the trackpad to spin. Drag two fingers on the trackpad without pressing down.
