Context Toolbars

Context toolbars are smart toolbars that contain only those commands that apply to the current selection. These toolbars are available when you select the respective face, edge, or annotation of the 3D view. Context toolbars are available for items in the tree or panel.

Context Toolbar for 3D Views

Command Icons Command Name Description
Note Add notes to a component
Dimension Adds dimensions to a component.
Datum Add datum to a component
Tolerance Add tolerances to a component
Balloon Add balloons to a component
Datum Target Add datum targets to a component
Surface Finish Add Surface Finish to a component
Normal To Displays a model normal to a selection.
Auxiliary View Displays the model in the auxiliary view.
Orthogonal View Displays the model in orthogonal views.
Hide Hides the selected feature.
Note: To show the selected feature again, select the hidden feature in the tree and click Show .
Color Applies a color to a component from the Color picker dialog box.

Context Toolbar for Annotations

The toolbar appears when you select an annotation. The commands that appear in the toolbar depends on the annotation type selected.

Command Icons Command Name Description
Hide Hides the selected feature.
Delete Deletes the selected item.
Edit Edits the selected annotation.
Edit Annotation Plane Edits the plane of selected annotation.
Rotate Text/Dimension Edits text or dimension orientation for the selected dimension
Reset Rotate Text/Dimension Resets the edited text or dimension orientation to its original position.
Add/Remove Leader Adds or removes leader from selected annotation.
Set as Overlay Note Makes the selected note flat to the screen.
Change Dimension Endpoints Changes the end points of the dimension.
Diameter/Radius Toggle Toggles the selected dimension between radius and diameter.
Edit Dimension Placement Edits the placement of annotation.
Dimensional Tolerance Add or edit tolerance for dimension.
Transfer DimAnnotation Transfer wrong oriented dimension or annotation to other respective view
Activate Sheet Activates the selected sheet.
Manage Sheet Edits the sheet formatting.
