Document Options

There are settings for documents and annotations, and you can adjust or switch the settings as per your choice.

You can find the settings in Document Options in the Tools section of the action bar. You need the Leader role to access this command.

You can find options for document, annotation, and drawing properties. The defined document level options apply to the existing and newly created annotations and drawings.

ISO is the default standard.

  • If you select ISO, linear dimensions appear with text above an unbroken dimension line.
  • If you select ASME, linear dimensions appear with text within a broken dimension, the text appears within the extension lines.

When you switch from one standard to another, all annotations created after this follows the modified standard.

Annotations Notes
  • Font Style: Fifty-one options
  • Font Size: 2.5, 3.5, 5, 7, 10, 14, 20
  • Justification: Left, Center, Right.
  • Leader Type: Bent, Straight.
  • Leader Attachment: Auto, Left, Right.
  • Leader Arrow: Not used, Open Arrow, unfilled arrow, etc. Total of 18 options.
  • Font Style: DS ISO 1
  • Font Size: 5 pt
  • Justification: Left
  • Leader Type: Bent
  • Leader Attachment: Auto
  • Leader Arrow: Filled.
Annotations Datum Termination Symbol Style: Filled Triangle, Unfilled Triangle. Termination Symbol Style: Filled.
Annotations Datum Target
  • Area Of Contact

    Datum Target Contact: No Symbol, Circular contact, Rectangular Contact.

  • Balloon Type

    Datum Target Type: Non-Movable, Movable.

  • Datum Target Contact: No Symbol.
  • Datum Target Type: Non-Movable.
