Creating Special Views

You can create the special view of your models. Special Views are the nonstandard views available for the model.


Before you begin: Open or import a model in the app.
  1. From the Views Creation section of the action bar, select Special View.
    The Special dialog box appears.
  2. Choose Current View, Auxiliary View, or Flatten View.

    The Flatten View is available only for a sheet metal part.

    The preview of the chosen view is displayed.
  3. Enter a view name.
  4. Optional: Choose an annotation color.
  5. If you want to create more than one view, click Apply and repeat.
    The selected view is created. The dialog box is not closed, you can create another views if required. Multiple views can be created at once. Click to save changes and close the dialog box.

    The zoom level displayed is applied to the view created.

    You can see the thumbnail of the 3D view in the tree. You can make changes to the view from the tree.

    Note: From the arrow that is next to the dialog box name, you can navigate to other 3D View options without closing the dialog box.
  6. From the view bar that appears in the work area, click .
    The 3D view is deactivated and the model is displayed in its default view.
