Basic Attribute Mapping: Using Widget

You can perform attribute mapping from widget in both On Premise and On Cloud environments.

  1. Login to the 3DDashboard URL as an administrator.
  2. Go to Platform management > Content tab > Collaborative Spaces Configuration Center > Attributes Management > Physical Product.
    Physical product attribute creation page appears.
  3. Click + in right corner of the page, and create below attribute:

    Type : String

    Name : Stringattrib1

  4. In Collaborative Space Configuration Center, go to Configuration Deployment > Attribute Propogation.
  5. Click Search. Select the Physical Product check box and click Propogate.
  6. In Configuration Deployment > Configuration and Server utilities click Update Index Model.
  7. In the Collaborative Space Configuration Center, go to xCAD PLM Collaboration, and check if CATIA V5 icon is present.
  8. Click the CATIA V5 icon.
    Mapping is allowed only for component, assembly and embedded component.
  9. Click + in the Component section.
    Table for Mapping in Component appears with below details:

    a. Physical Product attribute row contains a dropdown where all created custom attribute are seen.

    b. CAD attribute row is empty unless any custom attribute is selected in the above point.

    c. Side is 'Both' by default, but you can select any of the available options.

  10. Create below mapping for component in CATIA V5:
    1. Select Physical product attribute drop-down, click Stringattrib1 attribute.
    2. Populate CAD attribute field with cus: Stringattrib1.
    3. Click Apply to implement the mapping.
    Important: CATIA V5 attributes are represented in GCO attribute mapping with different prefixes depending on attribute type:
