Managing Local Files

You can delete the files that you have downloaded to 3DEXPERIENCE V5 Cache.

Before you begin: You must have some CATIA V5 files in the 3DEXPERIENCE V5 Cache. Do not open these files in a CATIA V5 session.
  1. Start CATIA V5, and connect to 3DEXPERIENCE.
  2. From the 3DEXPERIENCE menu, select Manage Local Files.

In the Manage Local Files dialog box, you can view a list of files, along with their status, filenames, file size, and modification dates.

The Filter option is enabled by default. You can click Filter again to disable it and view a list of all the files in the cache. This option filters the data that you cannot delete from the disk (as you have used it in the session).

    You can select these files:

    • New files
    • Modified files
    • Existing files
  3. To delete files:
    • Select one or more files from the list of files, and click Delete.
    • Right-click a file and select Delete.
You have deleted the files downloaded in the 3DEXPERIENCE V5 Cache.
    Important: While deleting files,
    • The Delete option is enabled when at least one file is selected.
    • 3DEXPERIENCE V5 Cache is a proprietary of Dassault Systemes; you must not add, or remove files from it.
    • You cannot use the Manage Local Files command to delete files opened in a CATIA V5 session, and read-only files.
