Saving Documents Using Save With Options

You can save documents to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform using the Save with Options dialog box.

  1. In the CATIA V5 toolbar, select 3DEXPERIENCE platform > Save with Options.
    The 3DEXPERIENCE Save dialog box lists the documents that are:
    • New
    • Modified
    • Directly or indirectly pointed by documents in the active session
    • Missing
    • Legacy PDM documents (VPM V5, VPM V4, or SmarTeam)
  2. Select one or more documents from the list.
    The preview window shows the selected design. A summary of the documents to be saved is displayed in the window along with the following details:
    • Number of new and modified objects
    • Number of objects excluded
    • Number of objects included
  3. Specify the following options:
    Option Description
    Save scope
    • Session: Lists all the documents that are open in the active session, and the documents they point to.
    • Current Editor: Lists the documents in the active document window and the documents they point to.
    • Active Document: The selected document.

    Once you have selected the save scope, you must perform the manual operation in the Save dialog box.
    Filter (Show only modified objects) Select the Show only modified objects check box to view only the modified objects in the content view.
    Note: When you deactivate the filter, you can select updated and unmodified documents for save.
  4. Select the Unlock check box to unlock all the locked files that are included in the save scope.
  5. Click OK.

You have saved the selected documents in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. A message displays the number of saved documents.
