3DEXPERIENCE Options

To access these settings, click 3DEXPERIENCE Options in the Preferences tree. Click the tab for the settings you want to set.

Open Tab Settings Description
Select Checkout Directory

Click Browse to navigate to the directory where you want files checked out to.

Document Iteration To display specific iterations of CAD objects, select on the following options from the Document Iteration list:

Option Description
Latest Revision Finds the latest revisions of the selected node and its underlying structure.
Latest FrozenRevision Finds the latest revision that is in the Frozen state.
Latest Released Revision Finds the latest release revision of the selected node and its underlying structure. If no object is in the Released state, then the latest revision of the object is displayed.
Latest In Work Revision Finds the latest revision that is in the In Work state.
As Saved Finds the saved structure.
As Built Provides the precise structure stored in 3DEXPERIENCE, but shows the new iteration of the object as a child if it exists in 3DEXPERIENCE.

Default View From the list, select a table view for use during checkout.
Lock Object on Checkout Select the check box to lock the CAD object in 3DEXPERIENCE when you check it out.

Save Settings

Below is a list of Save Settings you have to choose from:

Save Tab Settings Description
Default View Select Default View during the Save operation.
Default View Workspace Select this view while in the workspace.
Select Children This selection indicates that all children of the root node are also selected.
Retain Lock After Checkin This option retains the lock on the checked-in CAD object by the current user after checking it in to 3DEXPERIENCE.
Create Iteration on Checkin Select this open to create a new iteration of the CAD object under the current revision each time the design is checked in to 3DEXPERIENCE.

If not, no new iteration is created and it overwrites the existing iteration of the current revision in 3DEXPERIENCE.

Close Dialog After Successful Save Closes the Save to 3DEXPERIENCE dialog after a successful save.

Derived Output Parameter Parameter objects can be used to provide additional information to create Derived Outputs during checkin.

Select the parameter object and during the creation of its corresponding derived output, the connector downloads the file and executes it.

The app then creates the Derived output files using the downloaded parameter files and attribute values of Parameter Objects.
Automatic and Manual Settings You have two ways to check in the derived outputs; Automatic or Manual. If Automatic derived outputs are selected, then the Client Connector creates the derived outputs automatically during check-in. If the user selects Manual derived outputs, then a file chooser dialog opens during check-in for the user to select the derived outputs.

Show Details Settings

To access these settings, click Show Details Settings in the Preferences tree.

Setting Description
Default View From the list, select a view for use when viewing details.

Search Settings

To access these settings, click Search Settings in the Preferences tree.

Setting Description
Show Non-Integration Objects Shows all the objects that are not directly assigned to the Connector for Cadence Allegro HDL. You can find them under the Workspace Search of the Open from 3DEXPERIENCE.

EFCS File Synchronization Settings

To access these settings, click EFCS File Synchronization in the Preferences tree.

Setting Description
Never Synchronize Files It stops the checkout process if any data being checked out is located on an EFCS server.
Always Synchronize Files Data on an EFCS server is always synchronized during checkout.
Ask User You will get a message during checkout if any data is located on an EFCS server and requires synchronization.
